Election Project: Senate Races 2020: Official Campaign Websites

Watch this tutorial on finding an official campaign website and citing it in NoodleTools.  Note it was recorded in 2019 with presidential primary candidates, but the same advice applies.

Directions:

  1. Watch the instructional video on How to Find and Cite a campaign website.  This tutorial is specific to the Honors Government project.
  2. Create a new project in NoodleTools
    • Add Student Collaborator (type your partner's Student ID number@ fcpsschools.net)
  3. Find the campaign website for the Democratic Candidate.
  4. Enter the New Source, Website, in NoodleTools to create a citation.
  5. Open the Candidate Research notetaking document.
    • Copy the citation from NoodleTools, and paste into the notetaking document.
    • Take notes from the website
  6. Find the campaign website for the Republican candidate, and repeat the process above.
  7. Discuss with your partner, if you have one:
    • Compare the Democratic candidate to the Republican.  What similarities do they share? Where do they differ?
