Type search terms and add important keywords.  Then, click News to read current stories related to your search.

For example, "john mccain" AND "gun control"

Local Newspapers

Google Web Search

Search Google for local papers in Virginia or New Jersey.  For example, type virginia newspapers (without quotation marks).  Search results will list major publications.  Click the title of the newspaper for stories published in a certain city, then use their internal search window to type the candidate name.

Not sure which city a newspaper represents?  Some are obvious, like the Richmond Times Dispatch.  Others may need a quick online search.

Which geographic area does the Virginian Pilot newspaper cover?  Hint: check their website, read About Us, and/or search online to read more about this publication.

How is the same story covered in a rural town, such as Winchester, compared to a large city, such as Virginia Beach?
