Step One: Explore Current Events

  • Begin by selecting a current event (something that happened within the last six months)
  • Eventually you will consider how the current event relates to one of the broad categories listed above
  • For example, articles about DACA might relate to issues of “racial inequality” or “social inequality” or even “public figures and their influences”, depending on the focus of the article

Step Two: Find Articles in the News

  • Open the Database linked below

  • Search for an article about a current of event of interest

  • Narrow your search results to the last six months by using the “Publication Dates” feature at the right of your screen (narrow your search to the last six months)
